I have been so caught up with monitoring the Classy Ladies Facebook page and attempting to do my duty as a twenty-something Instagram maven that I have completely been neglecting the blog! Having spent more time at my day job the past week attempting to understand the intricacies of Instagram instead of say…doing what I get paid to do, I am feeling much more confident in the new age world of filtered pictures. That being said, I enjoyed the end of the work week, and my most recent social media photo success, by attending the Museum After Dark event at the New Britain Museum of American Art.
You will typically find me on a Friday in pajamas by 8, with a glass of wine, my iPad, and the SVU marathon on USA, but I thought, ‘what the hell, branch out.’ The museum event was a ton of fun with great energy and a big crowd. For the $25 entry fee you gained a access to all of the exhibits, wine and beer, and light cheese and cracker-esque fare. There was a great folk-type band in the front terrace, a comedian upstairs, and a DJ and dance floor on the first floor. They also had lawn games and seating on the back terrace. Overall, it was a great night to get out and meet new people, run into old friends, and enjoy the art work.
