I know this may sound crazy to most of you, but I hate the taste of coffee. I periodically get a new coffee drink to see if my tastes have changed or my tolerance has increased. I recently tried both an iced macchiato from a local coffee shop and some iced caramel thing from Dunkin, but to no avail. I want to be that person walking around Target with a soy caramel frappe with two sugars (is this a thing?) from Starbucks while I peruse their irresistible home decor, but it’s just not in the cards. I have however found a coffee-like drink for the Keurig that I am OBSESSED with!
Cafe Escapes Caramel is everything I wish real coffee was. It is sweet, but not too sweet, low cal, and caramel flavored. I have tried their other flavors: Mocha, Vanilla, and Chai Latte. Mocha is decent, Vanilla is too watery, and I’m not a fan of Chai although I’ve heard others love this one. Each cup of Cafe Escapes Caramel has only 60 calories and has 10% of the amount of caffeine as in a regular cup of coffee. I’m not a caffeine junky so this is just fine for me!
One of the best parts is it translates really well to an iced beverage. I brew a cup and let it sit for a bit, or stick the mug in the freezer for an hour, then pour over ice. Makes me feel like a big kid to walk around with my “iced coffee” in my Kate Spade tumbler!
When I go to Dunkin I’ll either get a coolatta (also doesn’t taste much like coffee) or hot chocolate. At Starbucks I LOVE the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher and recently found that they sell it in powder packets, ah-mazing.
**This is not a sponsored post, I just love the shit out of this coffee.**
